Throughout the variety of today's lifestyles, mushrooms as a product category, are uniquely synergistic with what consumers are looking for in how they eat.

The fundamental mission of Monterey's Process Operations is to develop and market a variety of mushrooms, commodity and value added products, which represent a value in satisfying the market, consumer, and customer needs. The targeted market for these products include the foodservice, ingredient and club stores. Additionally a sensitivity for retail application including private label will be maintained. Objectives will be accomplished through a professional management team within Monterey which is dedicated to Process Operations. Research and Development and marketing resources already in place are highly qualified and responsive to the varied requirements of potential customers. The products will be sold through a carefully selected network of
broker sales organizations. These representatives , in turn, will be managed by experienced sales professionals and will be supported by quality sales materials and marketing programs.
