Are your mushrooms grown with animal fertilizer?

At Monterey Mushrooms, wheat straw is the foundation of our mushroom compost. In addition to the straw, we also rely heavily on the discarded bedding from horse racing tracks and boarding stables. We also use poultry manure for its nitrogen properties.
