Instructions
- Prepare the chow mein noodles, par-cooked, according to the package.
- While the noodles are cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a wok or medium/large skillet over medium-high heat.
- When noodles are prepared and drained well, add the par-cooked noodles to the wok/skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing the noodles to crisp, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same wok/skillet, add mushrooms and cook for about 10 minutes, until slightly tender. Remove from heat.
- Add the Teriyaki sauce packet and stir until the mushrooms are evenly coated about 1-2 minutes. Set aside.
- In the same wok/skillet, add 1 tablespoon of oil, the onion, and carrots. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the onions are translucent. Add the broccoli and cabbage. Stir and cook for 1-2 minutes, then season with salt and pepper and cook for 3 minutes more, until the vegetables are soft.
- Add the saucy mushrooms and crispy noodles back to the wok/ skillet, along with soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss well and cook for 2-3 minutes, until everything is well-combined. Garnish with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
